Great Minds in Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neuro-Nursing met in Nagpur, India.

CIMGlobal completed the 66th Annual Conference of the Neurological Society of India, which was held in Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur from 30th November to 3rd December 2017.

Nagpur is a major commercial and political center of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.  It is the winter capital of Maharashtra. Nagpur is located at the exact center of the Indian peninsula and has the well known ‘zero milestones’.  Nearby are the famous Tadoba National Park and Pench Tiger Reserve – where the probability of sighting a wildcat is very high.  The thing that Nagpur is most famous for are the oranges that are cultivated in this region – so much so that Nagpur is known as the ‘Orange City’.

This conference was attended by approx. 850 Neurosurgeons, Neurologists, Neuro-anaesthetists, Neuro-radiologists, Neuropathologist, Electrophysiologists and Neuro-nurses. This year NSICON 2017 have a joint meeting with SNSA, Society of Neurosurgeons of South Africa under the presidentship of Dr. Allan Taylor. A good number of South African neurosurgeons participated in this extravaganza apart from some great names in neurosciences from USA, Europe, and Asian countries apart from SAARC countries.

Dr. Lokendra Singh, organizing secretary, Dr. Chandrashekhar Pakhmode and Samir Paltewar co-organizing secretaries had worked hard under the guidance of Dr. Shyam Babhulkar as organizing Chairman. Senior most physician Dr. B J Subhedar was the patron for the conference.

NSICON 2017 successfully concluded with each attendee carrying home the knowledge and best practices shared during the four-day deliberation.
