CIMGlobal successfully concluded International Conference on Services to the Elderly 2017

CIMGlobal successfully managed International Conference on Services to the Elderly – Current challenges & Emerging trends (ICSE 2017)  held during  23-24 February 2017 at ITC Kakatiya,  Hyderabad.

ICSE 2017 was organized by Heritage Foundation . Established in 1994, it  is India’s premier healthcare service programme focused exclusively on geriatric care. Heritage is involved in service provision for senior citizens through Heritage Medical Centre, Kshetra and Home healthcare services. The Global Ageing Network collaborated with Heritage Foundation in organizing this conference.  The Global Ageing Network is a global network of leaders in ageing services, housing, research, technology and design. The Global Ageing Network was founded in 1994 by an international group of leaders who realized that the global ageing phenomenon would have a profound impact on our earth’s elders. Their vision was to create a platform for policymakers, researchers, business and ageing services providers to collectively share their knowledge and best practices to enhance quality of care for the elderly.

This conference was attended by approx. 200 policy makers, researchers, care giver service providers, NGOs, etc.  from India and overseas. This two day conference showcased intriguing sessions, panel discussions  along with  networking lunches and dinner. The objective of the conference was  to educate delegates regarding  caregiving experiences and services being rendered in various parts of the world and disseminate  path breaking innovations & practices in the area of  ageing services.  The inaugural ceremony was graced by Sri Anand Katoch, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India  . It was an honour to have the presence of Sri M. Jagadeeshwar , Ministry of  Women and Children Welfare , Govt. of Telangana during Valedictory ceremony.

This conference was sponsored by esteemed organization like Ministry of Social Justice, Helpage India, Indian Council of Medical Research among others. Various prestigious bodies supported the conference – Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Department for Women, Children, Disabled & Senior Citizens, Government of Telangana, Alzheimer’s Disease  International, U3A India , Madras School of Social Work, etc.

ICSE 2017 successfully concluded with each attendee carrying home the  knowledge and best practices shared  during the two day deliberation.
