In India, the field of microbiology focuses on two major aspects—studying the ways through which microbes cause diseases, and attempting to harness the potential of these microbes for applications like fermentation, antibiotic production, cloning vehicles, biotechnological manipulations, bio-control agents, in bioremediation, etc.
Annual Conference of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists, MicroCon 2019 is coming under the theme of ‘Newer Diagnostics, Emerging Diseases and Preparedness’ scheduled from 29th November – 1st December 2019.
The highlighted part of the conference will be the Call for Nominations of IAMM Awards & Prizes.
Dr. SC Agarwal Oration 2019 is supported by the interest incurred from a fund donated by Dr. SC Agarwal, to be given to a senior member of the association for his /her outstanding contribution to the field of Medical Microbiology.
